This is the one that started it all. You star as "Solid Snake," a rough and tough commando who has been sent to infiltrate an enemy base in order to free a small african country from the grasp of the terrorist Colonel Vermon CaTaffy and his armies.
The game itself played like no other, instead of running into the game with your guns blazing, you had to sneak around and avoid enemies or you would be caught. It was almost like you were breaking INTO prision. Armed with only a radio and whatever else you found, binoculars, gas mask, weapons, etc. you had to enter the base and uncover CaTaffy's plans to unleash the ultimate weapon, the Metal Gear, on a helpless country.
